*** UPDATE: May 23d 2010 - After more than 4 years of planning and over 1,000 hours of hard work by your organizing committee, the Reunion is over - and by all accounts, it was a success. Old friends and classmates had a wonderful opportunity to see each other again and re-establish long lost contacts - that's what reunions are all about!

To those who attended, we hope you enjoyed yourself. Sadly, I could not attend due to a last-minute family health issue but to the other Organizing Committee members, a job very well done. Unless someone has actually participated in setting up and running a reunion of this size, most people would have no idea of what is involved in the planning, coordination and implementation for an event of this nature! Locating and contacting graduates, determining the interest factor, arranging the venues, contracting entertainment, catering, promotional items, arranging for event volunteers, handling registrations, designing and implementing an internal audit plan, collecting event fees and paying the bills, managing, promoting and updating a web site, attending meetings, arranging licenses, determining dinner selections and arranging seating - it goes on and on - and requires a very long lead time!
(I actually started compiling an e-mail database in May 2005 as photos started to arrive and were added to the web site). In 2009 an organizing Committee was created which did a tremendous job, volunteering their time and effort. To the other Committee members, a very warm "Thanks"! Calvin, Jeanette, Sue - job well done. And to Harvey, a special "Thank you" as it was he who handled most of the "boots on the ground" work, running around and doing much of the physical contact necessary to get the job completed! I guess that when I asked Harvey to help and "take the reins", I knew what I was doing! *GRIN*

The event is now over but many memories will surely linger. So for those of you who took photos at the Reunion, please send them in. Let's share the moments with others who attended and those who could not attend. Initially, please restrict photo numbers to 3. When the flow reduces and yours truly is back home later in the summer, adding more photos will be possible. When sending in photos, if you can add a small caption or identify those in the photo(s), that information will be displayed.

Stay tuned to this web site - there will be more reunions in the future. When and where, who knows, but there are already interested parties and the contact database will be maintained with future events in mind! A good party is always a good reason to have a good time!
